Thermal protection pots, also called controlinduc, lose their induction capability at high temperatures (typically at 250°C) thanks to a special alloy. Once this temperature is reached, such pans can no longer absorb power from the induction hob. Overheating and melting of the non-stick coating is no longer possible.
